To: news@westender.com Subject: Letter to the Editor Some rants and letters have expressed the need for a "Christian Columnist or Column," unfortunately this isn't the actual need; the most ignored beliefs and positions are those of Republican beliefs; the beliefs in the election of the head of state, abolition of the monarchy, separation of powers and constitutional liberty. These are always ignored because of the old money strong hold in Canada, a country still in the early phases of the old boy's club mentality. I myself would very (and pleasantly) surprised if this letter actually gets published. A Christian specific column is too exclusive; a conservative column, a liberal column, a republican column, and so on can be representative of people in all sorts of faiths and not exclude anyone on the basis of religious membership.
