Ok, highway (all be it, shouldn't costt billions to make) is a necessary government function and a hospital is a perfectly good private business function. No businessman will skimp on something he'll need one day; this includes hospitals. When the government focuses on stuff like entitlement programs, highways fail and than the entitlement programs fail, the government then gets fat and lazy and then the highways and roads are so bad an ambulance can't make it to it's target location(s). >This is the same government that is still trying to convince us that >there's no money for subsidizing university students, or the old, or >the ill or the poor..... that money MUST BE retained for the conveniences >that the RICH and comfortable have come to expect from the government >they worked so hard to elect. Again, not a government function; and if the government does have billions then they don't have money for that, they have money for a tax free year or years and they can start cutting free loading programs, create a tax reform plan and put an end enttitlement programs making them safety net programs that get paid back. >Bless all their black, greedy, cold little hearts.... may some power >greater than that of the confounded voter make things right. Yeah, it must be tickling you pink; the fact that the people still have to be ripped off by over taxation and a business unfriendly government. >Vancouver - Premier Gordon Campbell says proposals to build a new >alternative route to Whistler through the mountains north of Vancouver are >too expensive. Well I can't disagree with that completely, but I don't see why a Chief would own all the land, doesn't his people get any land ownership rights or is he running a dictatorship with the Native Ministries' help? >Jacob says the band isn't opposed to highway improvements or the Olympic >bid, but says his people's interests have to be looked after. I guess that's why tax payer voting rights and municipal townships or borroughships for reservations aren't what he's pl;eading for. >A spokesperson for Transportation Minister Judith Reid says the minister >won't be consulting stakeholder groups until she's through considering >options for the highway. Hah, and I am sure the taxpayer isn't considered a stakeholder, because they will always be ignored. Docta Admr. Gov.
